The application period for the 5th edition of the Innovation Award Bluepharma | University of Coimbra is open. Until March 7, innovative solutions in the health science field that stand out for originality and innovation, two of the main requirements, can compete. The potential to transform the product or service into an effective solution with proven interest to society will also be valued.
Applications are open to Portuguese researchers working in laboratories, institutes or organizations, national and international, who are developing innovative scientific projects. Applications may be either individual or joint and must be presented and submitted using the form available on the official website at www.bluepharmaucinnovationaward.pt.
Prize of 20 thousand euros that can go up to 50 thousand!
The winner of this award, which takes place every two years, receives 20 thousand euros. However, the prize may amount up to 50 thousand euros if the researchers can demonstrate the viability of the project in reaching the market.
"Our interest is to support research and development of solutions that have a real impact on people’s lives and contribute to a better quality of life", said Paulo Barradas Rebelo, President of Bluepharma.
Luís Simões da Silva, Vice-rector of the University of Coimbra for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, further reinforces that the "transfer of innovative scientific knowledge, applied as a solution to a concrete situation, is a reality that we intend to leverage with researchers who wish to embrace the proposed challenges."
