In early 2021 Bluepharma began a process of recruiting more than a hundred new professionals with the objective of strengthening various strategic areas for the growth and development of the company.

The process of recruitment of the pharmaceutical company of Coimbra, which is already underway, intends to integrate new talents for various specialties in the areas of R&D, chemistry, biochemistry, or pharmacy, for the area of operations and logistics and also for the business support department in the areas of engineering, accounting and management.

This recruitment process arises from the need to meet the needs of the projects included in the new strategic plan, the investment for which is expected to be around EUR 200 million over the next 10 years. These hirings will thus be a boost to the first projects due to be completed by early 2022.

The President of Bluepharma, Paulo Barradas Rebelo, considers that "at this stage, the reinforcement of the teams is essential, as it will give us the capacity needed to develop and implement the new plans foreseen in the Bluepharma Acelera 2030 project."

This project, which is expected to be completed in early 2022, foresees the expansion of the current facilities in São Martinho (Coimbra) and the construction of a new industrial plant in Eiras (Coimbra), a global investment of nearly 50M€.

"In the first place, this need to increase Bluepharma's human capital will be to prepare the Staff for the new infrastructures that we will build, but it is also due to the new challenges that we are facing, brought on the rapid and substantial growth of our activity on a global scale", acknowledges the President.

In the last five years the company has recruited more than two hundred employees, who have reinforced the various specialties that are determinant in Bluepharma's development strategy.

In the first 4 months of 2021, Bluepharma integrated about fifty new talents and received more than thirty curricular internships in the Pharmaceutical Sciences area.

These hirings will be a reinforcement to the first projects that should be completed by the beginning of 2022.
