Bluepharma held presentations on the importance of medication for children attending the first cycle of basic education at the Colégio Bissaya Barreto private primary school and Escola Básica do 1.o Ciclo de Santa Apolónia public school, in Coimbra.
The first session took place on 5 June 2023, in the Colégio Bissaya Barreto auditorium, and was attended by more than 100 children between the ages of 5 and 10.
Another session was held on 30 June for pupils attending Escola Básica do 1.o Ciclo de Santa Apolónia. “Crescer com Segurança” [Growing up Safely] was the theme of the presentations made by Maria Aquino, representing Bluepharma, and who sought to develop the medication literacy skills of children with regard to the process of creating new medicines, raising awareness among younger children about the need for rational and adequate use of medication, in particular about the risks of self-medication.
