The Portuguese Secretary of State for Labour, Miguel Fontes, visited Bluepharma’s industrial unit in Eiras.
The meeting took place on 12 May and was attended by the Vice President of Bluepharma, Maria Isolina Mesquita, the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Ana Mafalda Varanda, and the Regional Delegate from the Centre of Vocational Training and Employment, IEFP - Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional, I.P, Antonio Alberto Costa.
The new Bluepharma production unit opened its doors on 1 March 2023 and is the only one of its kind in the country dedicated to the production of oral medicines for cancer treatment and one of the largest in Europe.
It embodies the ONConcept® project, a partnership with two leading German pharmaceutical companies – Helm and Welding.
