Bluepharma and the University of Coimbra are joining forces, once again, to distinguish excellent scientific research at an international level. Applications for the Bluepharma Innovation Award | University of Coimbra 2023 are now open, until March 11th. This international award, worth 20 thousand euros, aims to distinguish the best scientific projects developed in the area of Health Sciences. This support could translate into an additional investment of 30 thousand euros, once the project's market viability has been proven.
The works in the competition must be totally or partially conducted by Portuguese researchers, developed in national or foreign institutions.
The award's evaluation criteria are: merit, originality, innovation and the contribution of scientific projects with high potential for transformation into products or services, of real interest to society.

Research, Innovation and Development are essential in any industry, but they play an even more important role in the pharmaceutical sector. Therefore, at Bluepharma we seek to promote and stimulate this spirit of excellence through the creation of this type of initiatives. Knowing that academies have a fundamental role, having the University of Coimbra as a partner reinforces the rigor and quality of yet another edition”, says the President of Bluepharma, Paulo Barradas Rebelo.

Applications for the Bluepharma Innovation Award | University of Coimbra 2023 are open between January 8th and March 11th, 2024 and must be submitted via the website www.bluepharmaucinnovationaward.pt.
The Bluepharma Innovation Award | University of Coimbra, is awarded every two years to an innovative project in the area of Health Sciences. The winner will be announced in May 2024.
