In partnership with the University of Coimbra, Bluepharma launched the facsimile edition of “Pharmacopea Lusitana Reformada” (1711), by D. Caetano de Santo António.
This is the 10th and final release that integrates a reissue project of ten emblematic Portuguese Pharmacopoeias, in collaboration with the General Library of the University of Coimbra and the Coimbra University Press.
The presentation of the book, held in the Joanina Library, was held by João Rui Pita, professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, with the presence of Amílcar Falcão, Rector of the University of Coimbra, Paulo Barradas Rebelo, president of Bluepharma, Manuel Portela, Director of the General Library of the University of Coimbra and Carlota Simões, Director of the University Press.
“This initiative allowed the restoration of the 10 most important pharmaceutical works in the General Library of the University of Coimbra. This is a landmark moment, also for the history of Bluepharma. Therefore, it is with great honor and satisfaction that we launch the last work in this collection. Respecting the past that brought us here, we will continue to work tirelessly in the present, always with our eyes on the future” – reinforces Paulo Barradas Rebelo, president of Bluepharma.
