Bluepharma takes another decisive step in its sustainability strategy with the launch of the Blue&Green Goals project, an initiative focused on the decarbonisation of the company. This project aims to install photovoltaic panels at the São Martinho do Bispo units, contributing significantly to reducing the carbon footprint and increasing energy efficiency.

With a total investment of €625,000, of which around 60% is financed by the European Union, the project is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Bluepharma's energy transition strategy.

The solar panels will be installed in the parking area of São Martinho do Bispo, providing a dual functionality: the production of renewable energy and the protection of vehicles from weather conditions. In addition, part of the panels will be placed on the roof of the main building, optimising solar capture and contributing to the unit's energy self-sufficiency.

‘This is our commitment to the future – the adoption of sustainable solutions for renewable energy production is an important milestone for Bluepharma. With this project, we are investing in the future, promoting a more sustainable business model that is aligned with the environmental requirements of the industrial sector,’ says Paulo Barradas Rebelo, CEO of Bluepharma.

Inserted in the Industry Decarbonisation Support programme, this project will enable Bluepharma to significantly reduce its dependence on conventional energy sources, reinforcing its commitment to responsible and environmentally sustainable business practices.
