Paulo Barradas Rebelo, President of Bluepharma, participated in the roundtable discussion "Biotechnology: A Niche or a Strategic Bet for Portugal?" at the Startup Capital Summit 2024. This panel, which also included Basinnov Life Sciences and RDefine, discussed the current state of biotechnology in Portugal, the advances made over the last decade, and the main challenges ahead.
The event took place on May 10 at the Convento São Francisco in Coimbra, organized by the University of Coimbra in partnership with the Municipality of Coimbra and the Instituto Pedro Nunes, once again under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic.
The Startup Capital Summit 2024, one of the largest national events focused on venture capital, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer in Portugal, gathered around 100 speakers and more than 1,000 participants in a program featuring roundtables, talks, pitches, and 1-to-1 meetings.
