The biggest challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry, in a world in turmoil and brimming with innovations that are sometimes difficult to pursue by such a large sector, were addressed at Rethinking Pharma 2023, which took place on 29 June 2023 at the Lagoas Park Congress Centre, in Oeiras.
The nearly 200 participants in this Pharmaceutical Industry (R)evolution discussed a myriad of topics, from economics to major market access challenges, including artificial intelligence and talent retention in Portugal, aimed at building a better future.
“I love talent,” stated Paulo Barradas Rebelo, CEO of Bluepharma, in the 2023 edition of Rethinking Pharma, while admitting that “wage competitiveness is an issue” among national and international companies, with the former struggling to hold on to good professionals.
The Chairman also reiterated the importance of quality and cooperation in the workplace, stressing that “the country is old”, so problems related to the national population, which can affect various sectors, including pharma, must be anticipated.
