Bluepharma is proud to share that Mariana Zagalo successfully completed last December her PhD. Mariana doctoral thesis entitled "Strategic and Advancing Regulatory Science Approach in Pharmaceutical Development of Complex Generic Drug Products" was developed under "Drugs R&D doctoral program", in a joint collaboration between Bluepharma and Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra / University of coimbra.
This work highlights the importance of synergies between academy and industry to generate differentiation and innovation in the field of non-biological complex drugs (NBCD).
In this case, this work is expected to contribute to overcome the countless scientific and regulatory challenges associated with the development of complex pharmaceutical products, reducing the risk of failure, and increasing the probability of complex drug products reaching the market in the near future.
Mariana PhD viva was evaluated by a panel of renowned experts in pharmaceutical technology and regulatory affairs, including members of the@European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products (Infarmed): prof.
