“O melhor resíduo é aquele que não existe” [The best waste is no waste] was our motto to celebrate World Recycling Day on 17 May 2023.
When we talk about recycling, we immediately think of the yellow, blue and green colour code, recycling bins and the trucks that collect waste for treatment.
The reality is that recycling is so much more than this!
Bluepharma thus invited employees to the São Martinho do Bispo cantina for a talk by Isaura Marques, who presented her project of hand-painted crafts and accessories, where she transforms used materials into new products.
Employees also had the opportunity to view an exhibition of items made by the speaker, as well as an exhibition by Isabel Oliveira (an employee from SAMSIC, a Bluepharma partner company) in which she displayed some of her works made using ‘waste’ from Bluepharma.
