The CEO of Bluepharma, Paulo Barradas Rebelo, participated in the SAP Discovery Day roundtable, together with João Alvarinho, Chief Information Officer at Inapa, and Hélder Almeida, SAP IT Associate Director at Rovensa.
The event, which took place on 15 November 2022 at the EPIC SANA Hotel (Lisbon), is one of the largest annual SAP events in the country, dedicated to the challenges faced by SMEs and how they can overcome them by digitising their processes using SAP technology.
In a talk promoted by Inetum, Paulo Barradas Rebelo recalled the start of the company's operations in 2001. “Our goal at that time was to have a system that would meet the needs of the company as a whole.
We wanted to invest in the facility while upholding the values that Bayer had left us, pursuing conservative goals, but designed to ensure sustainability in the future and support growth.”
Several times during the presentation, the CEO emphasised that “Bluepharma’s vision when it comes to technology has always involved taking consistent and decisive steps that enable future growth and which would not have to be undone to correct our trajectory".
Twenty years on, he says that “our approach remains the same, but we are now looking to industry 4.0."
