The project of the "LUPITAS" team was the winner of the Bluepharma Challenge, in the context of document digitization in the Pharmaceutical Industry, under the Data Challenge program, mentored by António Nunes, Head of Research & Innovation at Bluepharma.
Francisco Alves, student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and a member of "LUPITAS" said that “the Data Challenge allowed us to be better.
This includes the extremely qualified competition, which motivated us to work hard, the guidance of mentors and the most varied highly qualified professionals, who gave very valuable opinions at all times”. Altice labs, Bluepharma, Bosch Intelligent Buildings, Prozis and Santander launched the challenges and, throughout the program, participants developed their ideas through data-centric approaches.
This programme, organized by UPTEC - Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto and by the UC Business of the University of Coimbra, supported 19 business ideas and 35 participants to develop business ideas for 40 challenges in the area of data, presented by the industry.
