Bluepharma is proud to present its involvement in the reforestation project in Pedrógão Pequeno, an initiative that reflects our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. After the devastating fires of 2017, which destroyed vast forest areas, this project aims to restore biodiversity and reestablish the ecological balance in the region.
The "Bluepharma Forest," located in Moinho das Freiras and created in partnership with the Sertã Municipality, marks this effort, with the planting of 5,475 oak trees, a symbolic number representing the company’s years of existence at the time of the project.
Our employees and partners also played a key role in this project, participating in planting activities that strengthened the importance of shared environmental responsibility and fostered connections with local communities.
As part of this initiative, we reused acacia wood, an invasive species removed from the burned area, to build a Picnic Park, a space designed for social gatherings and the appreciation of nature. The same acacia wood was also used in part of Bluepharma's stand at CPhI Milan, symbolizing our commitment to the circular economy by reusing this material.
This reforestation project and the reuse of acacia wood demonstrate how Bluepharma integrates sustainability into its practices, promoting a balanced relationship between economic development, respect for the environment, and support for the region’s development and the local community.
